Leadership Initiatives partners with local government and business leaders to provide promising individuals with entrepreneurial, leadership and project management training. These young leaders then identify obstacles to development within their own communities, design workable solutions, and create sustainable business models to overcome those obstacles. The young leaders who Leadership Initiatives have been inspiring have designed and implemented many successful projects using funding from Leadership Initiatives. These projects include a fish farming initiative that generates revenue, a skills acquisition initiative that taught welding, tailoring, and motorcycle repair, and a computer literacy initiative that was targeted at the disabled who have difficulty finding employment.
