2 children get one meal a day for a full school term.

Location Nairobi, Nairobi Province, Kenya

Mathare Children's Fund Panairobi (MCFP) was set up in 1999 to bridge the gap between street children living in rehabilitation centers and seeking possibilities to pursue their education. There are many Rehabilitation Centers in the slum, which try to take care of the children and their drug addictions and get them ready for school. 

These centers almost invariably lack the financial and organizational resources to get the children into schools. As a result, many children who finish rehabilitation end up on the streets again. MCFP is bridging that gap.

Working with 70 schools around Kenya, the organization has enabled more than 450 children to complete their education over the years. Some of these former Streetchildren are now Teachers, Engineers, Lab Technicians, Mechanics or self-employed.

Currently there are 106 children under the Sponsorship Programme of MCFpanairobi. These kids are eager to finish their education and have a real chance in life. The assurance of one meal a day is essential for these children to concentrate on their studies and keep them in the classroom. With your $ 5, they will!





 

We have a feeding program which ensures that a child receives one meal a day either in school or the project during holidays and it costs approximately $2.50 for a school term/semester. $5 goes a long way.

Your welcome to visit our project anytime of the year from 9am to 4pm, EAT. It takes less than 20 minutes from Nairobi Central Business District. 600 meters off Thika Super Highway next to NYS Engineering Institute.
